Residency
Not Italian people who are planning to stay in Italy for more than 3 months have to request residency in Italy. This obviously applies to PhD students. In order to obtain your residency in Italy you have to find a permanent accommodation (with a legal House rental contract) and you need to have an health insurance. Then you have to communicate to the Municipality Office that deals with residency applications - the anagrafe, ufficio residenza via e-mail () the proper documents (see [1] for the list of the documents and to download the files). - Health care insurance: Your Health Insurance Card.
- Id card or passport.
- Your Codice fiscale.
