SISSA buildings

For the moment (this means it is going to change soon) SISSA has buildings in three locations. Starting fall 2009 SISSA sectors are going to be moved in the new building in Villa Opicina (also known as Santorio or Sanatorio).

Miramare

One is the main campus known as Physics Center in Miramare, which includes also ICTP buildings. There are three Sissa buildings in this campus : Main Building, New Building and Bella Vista Building. In the Main Building one can find Mathematical Physics, Elementary Particle Teory , Astrophysics , Functional Analysis and Applications sectors and main administrative offices (student secretariat, finance office etc.). Regarding facilities, Sissa Main Library and Computer Help desk can be found also in the Main Building. In the New Building there are Condensed Matter Theory and Statistical and Biological Physics sectors. In Bella Vista Building there are many offices of PhD students and a Rat Research Lab of Cognitive Neuroscience Sector (???????). Don't try to find offices of your friends at the locations I mentioned according to their sectors since it can be in any building. In order to locate exactly someone's office search the phonebook

Roiano - Stock

A second place is Stock Building in Roiano where Cognitive Neuroscience Sector is located. This rather needs explanation since it is a small hidden bulding. When you are on the street called Via Lionello Stock coming towards Viale Miramare after the bridge there is a big main door on your left. Enter the door you will see a courtyard and there you will see a big market if you take the stairs. The building is just besides the market.( you may need these directions in case you want to participate in an experiment:)).

Basovizza

Third location is Basovizza Science Park [1] where Neurobiology Sector [ http://www.sissa.it/main/?p=SECTOR_NBIO ] is located.
